At least 2 deaths from Hurricane Irene. The only thing more preventable than a hurricane death is a shark attack death. If you don't want to get killed by a shark, don't go where sharks are. If you don't want to die in a hurricane, LEAVE THE AREA before the storm hits.

Two cats zonked out on the carpet...one in the sun, one in the shade. All I need now is a metal suitcase with some tubes and wires to make it look like a feline version of "Inception". One cat is trying to plant the idea of leaving the house in the other cat's mind. :) No, I'm not renaming my cats Leonardo DiCatrio and Joseph Gordon-Levcatt. They're Simba and Stormy.

Thermometer Strike

Carlsbad's thermometer is still on strike.  Today will be day 52 of 100+ degrees in 2011.  It refuses to go back to work until a new "heat ceiling" law is passed.  It also feels the digital thermometers are not doing their part in this changing climate.  You can watch my forecast at 5, 6, 6:30 and 10PM on KOB!  :)
